hmmmm......

the traiilor dunt represent the z ball but is quite quite............AWESOME1!!!!!!!!!!!
omfg its so kl lol 4 episodes later.......

That's really cool

The movie itself was pretty good, but the thing behind it seemed even better. By using flash, which is presumably familiar to the viewer, you showed how awful the dbz animation really was. Or maybe it wasn't that bad, just efficient. Cool idea.

KynetiK-27 responds:

you have to keep in mind dbz is over 20 years old and was made the hard way with film, paint, a camera and light table. You cant judge classic animation by modern standards. Youll find db had better animation than most serial titles of its time. Also keep in mind each ep was pumped out at the pace of a simpsons ep. Efficiency of layers and poses is something we can all learn from the oldies

nice

i like how you actually noted how it takes 4 fucking episodes for one fucking thing to get done... but dbz has enough parodys

Nice

It was impressive. The first fight was looped, although we see that in all fighting cartoon - If you look at that one fight against king piccolo in DB, they must have animated like... 30 frames, and that's it.
You might wanna steer away from DB/DBZ themes, simply because people like origional stuff.
I liked it ^_^ hope you work on more similar to this.

Meh... constructive eh?

Well, For one... I can count 3 major rip offs here. One.. the whole thing ws a DB fight. The second being the line "This is my arm now, and I want it strong" is from Kill Bill. The third being the "4 episodes later" joke. Comes from an old flash that was on the front page of the AQ web site for a LONG time when Atrix's chibi self was trying to go super 'kringer'ian. Wasn't funny then really, a rip off is is always worse.

You can't expect people not to point off where you directly ripped off other people and concepts by saying "post constructive critisim plz". Allow that to suffice for a constructive lesson.

P.S.- My scores were not affected by any of that. Thats really what I thought. Needs alot of work. Ecspecialy the fist fighting scene. It was only 3 animations repeated in a loop. No problem with the just 3 animations thing...but mix it up. Do a 1,2,3,2,2,3,1,3,2 or something to that effect as adverse to 1,2,3 x3

KynetiK-27 responds:

Stating the obvious and being semantic is hardly constructive.

i -was- expecting people to point these out, i figured people wouldve noticed them sooner to be honest. I put 'review something contructive' as a means of triggering ppl to think that little more before they start stating opinion without basis. I hardly see how stating this has anything to do whatsoever with a hypothetical assumption it will stop people pointing out symbols.
I can't possibly expect people not to point out where I 'directly ripped off other people and concepts' (wow like noones ever done that in a learning process) by saying "post constructive critisim plz", because one notion has absolutely nothing to do with the other.

Anyways...

its NOT a DB fight, its a DBZ battle (Gargantuan difference ;p), all ive done is recreated an ep in flash with different characters and script. My point was to show youngsters how easy it is to make anime on flash if you storyboard efficiently.
Bonus points if you can tell me what fight/ep it was

'this is my arm now and I want it strong' is indeed a line from Kill Bill2,(as are many collections of words), though the context ive used it was a little deeper than Pai Mei's, as the 2 warriors in my short are actually the same entity. This was merely my way of symbolism, the dark one intimidates and controls the weak, and in stature be indirectly compared to pai mei & student. As is the art of filmmaking, referencing knowledge/symbols to create a solid setting and char depth without diverting from the narrative.

Im clueless as to what your on about with this '4 eps later' joke, it was a gag my friends and i used back in the day. heard of the 100 monkeys theory? it wouldnt surprise me that every dbz fan has their own considering its 4-18fps glory

BTW it actually has 5 animations, built using 3, over the course of 47 frames, it goes;
1 2 1 2 3 etc
rightPunch> leftPunch> rightPunch> leftPunch> rightKick> etc

the frames are drawn to flow with that kata, if i were to put it into the combination of 123223132 it just wouldnt flow. Sure its a cool combo, but for it to work it really needs new frames.

ART IS NOT ABOUT WHAT -YOU- LIKE, OR A VAIN ATTEMPT TO PLEASE YOU, ITS WHAT IM EXPRESSING
