It almost has a Volvagia look from Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Pretty sweet actually.

i always have trouble getting "textures" for skins right and yet you make it look so easy D:
i really like the color choices, they blend together well which also makes the eye color really pop out ^^

The skin texture is actually just the burn/dodge tool set to a bristley textured brush. I sort of half-assed a few scales and textures in there myself, and then went over with with burn/dodge. Seems to make the skin look a lot more convincingly textured.
