Reviews for "PickleMan's Green Thumb!"

bad and an insult to the 8 bit era

i am appreciative of the effort but it's just not working for this game. am i missing something? the title says quote " the only game that makes gardening an adventure" really? an 8 bit piece of crap is passed on as an "adventure". fascinating.
how are you going to grow even a little cult game with this monstrosity being your first offering. i'm sorry for the short rant but this game is an insult. 5/10 for effort but 0/10 for lackluster appeal, if any. better luck next time.

Pretty much okay :/

The last time I reviewed one of your submissions (very favorably) your response was "dance." I am not a crony of yours, I just liked your earlier submission--don't insult someone who is complementing you. If this game had better graphics and gameplay maybe I would feel remorse about rating it poorly. Graphics is needlessly low-resolution and gameplay isn't too creative.

Mockery responds:

You are confusing me (RoG) with Pox. I wrote NONE of the review responses to the "PickleMan's Breakfast Battle" movie as Pox was the one who submitted it. On Newgrounds, only the person who actually submits the movie/game file to the site is able to respond to reviews, not the other contributors. So you'll have to take up your issues with him. But considering your very favorable review was only 4 words long, and not some epic write-up deserving of a huge response that you made it sound like, it's not surprising that his response was so brief. Pox is known for his amazing artwork, not his public relations skills. But for you to think of his "dance" comment to be an insult is clearly something that was lost in translation. That response was nothing more than his expression of an emotion. Haven't you ever seen somebody type *dance* or *swoon* or whatever? Welcome to the internet, Berder.

In regards to you not enjoying this game, that's too bad. I do have to disagree with your comment regarding the graphics though. Pox did a fantastic job recreating the classic NES 8-bit graphics feel. Anybody who cannot appreciate hand-drawn original detailed sprite artwork like what you saw on the title screen (or on the win/lose game screens for that matter) clearly doesn't know the kind of work it takes to produce it.

Nice Idea, but not so good overall...

The Reason why is because it just becomes boring very fast. Only the Jokes about the old Videogames I played myself when I was younger, by the age of 5 - 7, are nice. "Youre Failure killed the world" or that Cucumber-hero, beaten by a cheese-vampire-bat... lol!

But away from that, lets make a short checkout...
The Graphics were okay. I normally dont like the old pixeloptic, but it would look more worse without at this project: The Drawings are okay and fit.

You got the Style, your submission was supposed to feel like a parody of those old Videogames, and so it feels like.

The Sound - umh - it surely was supposed that it sounds like this, but even it was - I dont like the sound. The fact that it fits the game prevented a lower ranking. Just my taste...

Violence...
Was that violence?^^
You should implement a powerstrike that can be done by only one man - the ultimative master who is supposed to beat them all! And Although it is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY~

~VERY VERY VERY hard to do the strike, our hero can perform it like eatin cheese...

Interactivity
Yeah, I interacted, but not that much...

The Humor we allready talked about....

pickle juice goes rotten

time to take out the pickle juice.because the graphics and violence look like it escape the SNES and crawled into the PC.sorry but please don't make the graphics and violence like old SNES style anymore.also the game is too darn hard.controlls are all screwed up.can these problems be fixed?
