i know why the game is hard to play
the game isn't that hard to run, its the fact that the sound interrupts it...so when ur playing the game press space, and turn off the sound, it should run great after that, and its a good game, i got to lvl 100 ^_^
A couple major problems
On the whole, this is awesome. Looks great. Plays great. Sounds great.
However, my internet connection (which is cable--and my computer is above the typical specs) can't handle it. The first time I played this, it ran great. Since then it becomes unplayable around level 5.
Also, easy is too easy and medium is too hard.

Nice reversal of castle defence to castle attack.
Anyone can help in accessing hax mode? I clicked every single pixel on the credits and still it won't work.
I liked it.
Only had a few issues with this one. Definitely liked the idea of attacking instead of defending for once... though I *H*A*T*E*D* the popup critter selector. Plus, it was impossible to tell what did what unless you just used them all to see what they'd do. I ended up just using one or two critter types until I got the gigantic red circular thing, then I used them exclusively.
Also, not sure what level it started on, but lag started to be a HUGE issue. Definitely liked the game beyond those few things. :)
Classic
As much as the game is a classic, it has a few flaws. Some critical, some minor. First flaw, the whole pop up monster thing. It makes it difficult to click what ally you want to use if it won't stand still. A more major flaw that every one seems to be having a problem with is the lag. You put far too many enemies on the screen past level 50 for an average computer to deal with. This is the only way it's possible to be beaten with the juggernauts. The best solution to this is to just make the game end at level 50. That way, you still have the fun of the game and the sense of accomplishment.
For those wanting to know, I think number 3 was Daft Punk - Harder Better Faster Stronger
