If you're preloader is not working check the following things:
- The right script is on the animation
- The scripts are on the right frames
- The "start" frame is labeled
If all these are working, PM me and tell me what is happening along with what you did.

also how do you attach the preloader to the beginning of a flash?

put it as the first 3 frames or do what i do, put it in it's own scene which is before the rest of the movie.

Don't get it, mate.
I would say it was a good tutorial, but when i think about it, it only is a good tutorial if it explains it clearly and thoroughly to the audience. I understood but not fully so it helped a bit but not really. If your target audience is people who do not know how to make preloaders which is kinda obvious, I don't think you succeded. You explained it like we'd understand it easily, you should next time try to think how much or how easily your target will understand the concept. It seemed to me that you didn't think about that. Next time, put that to mind. I'll congratulate you on your hard work though to make this.

if this is for beginners, like me, then u hav to explain everthing... including wat they r, like an mc. i dont know wot one is yet u tell me to do stuff in it. really confusing.
