Good concept..
The only problem is... it looks like garbage and controls like garbage, the original pacman looked better and that is extremely primitive.
Redoing pacman is a good idea, but this game is just horrible.

I am a big fan of Pacman and ofcourse i like the original the most but his was okay. But i must day, the controul sucks. I havn't got a mouse just a tuch thing blaaaa from my laptop and so it's more diffecult and yes, when this change i think it would be really good.
Fun, but it has a few flaws...
In my opinion this was a very creative view on a rather old game. The gameplay didn't deviate too much, but had it's own obvious flair to it. The graphics were decent, although the design of the pac-man was a bit wonky. And I must admit, you could have had an option to use the arrow keys to control the protagonist.
However, my only main concern is the fact that you didn't explain the mines very well. The player has to use the mine in order to figure out what it does, and that might end up wasting the only weapon you have. Good news is that in most cases the design of the level keeps you from wasting the mine, but it's still somthing that should be changed should you ever re-visit this.
All in all, it was a good game, and managed to distract me for almost thirty minutes. Good job. :D
