Reviews for "Moonsweeper"

Nice.

I waited till I beat it to review it. Very well made game. I like it a lot. Just...wow.

It was pretty good...

I finally finished it today! Woot. It was worth it. Keep up the good work.

FINALLY I'm done with this.

The last couple of days, I got obsessed by this game. I just wanted to finish it, and I've played it for about 10 hours or so (haven't got anything else to do).

Anyways, I just beat the game (after starting at the last moon about 15 times over), and I have to say it's great.

Only thing that can be annoying is when your enemies shoot all their ammo into a wall, just makes them seem a bit stupid.
But then again it helps the gameplay.

Nothing in need of tweaking here, keep on making more awesome games.

Simple but challenging

Graphics:
The terrain and models are a bit too high quality for a small window like those you get in Newgrounds. When you zoom in while the game is running you will understand. But generally there are a nice amount of details in weapons and models.

Style:
Randomly generating levels and simple but variable weaponary. Really good when you are killing some time!

Sound:
Simple sounds. Every gun had just it's own personal sounds and hits on the terrain didn't vary one bit. Monotonous to to hear.

Violence:
The idea of harming enemies is the main point. No blood or special death sounds and animation were not needed. Although they might have given a sweet edge to this game.

Interactivity:
I don't know exactly what this means, but I think it has something to do with the controls and affection to the environment. Controls are simple and easy to master but the fact that the terrain is indestructible is both good and bad. Good in way it provides infinite shield against enemy fire and bad in way it lacks realistic.

Humor:
I think this game had barely any humor, but I took some points when I was facing four superiorily equipped enemies with amazement and humor. "Aww maaan! How am I supposed to get through THEM?! Hehe! =)"

It took me quite a while to get through the game. Once you get close to the last levels, rush just doesn't work! Enemies with only Particle Auto Cannons and lvl 3 Plasma Cannons can't be won by shooting back. On worst parts I even couldn't say "Ouch" when they had already killed me!

So I developed this tactique: Going close enough or shooting at enemies to provoke them to shoot at me, while I am behind a hill. Then I just watch them to waste all their ammo and once they have done that, go on peacefully, not even required to kill those aliens with no more ammo.

And while doing that, getting a good gun when the time is right, just in case you needed it... At some points, you really need it, but not in the last few levels, 'cause you couldn't match enemies' firepower anyways.

And it's good that the levels generate randomly so that every time you play is a little different. Also thanks to this, the tactique I just told you may not be efficient. Sometimes I ended up in a screen wide non-hilled area with at least two aliens with Particle Auto Cannons at the other end. Then you just have to improvise. Maybe waste a couple of grenades (and a life on the side) to get onwards. And later you notice you would have greater need for the grenades you just used. Tough luck! =)

GREAT GAME!

wow it gets hard around lvl 9!sorry i have my sound turned down so i dont wake my brother.
