Good Job!
In my opinion you did a great job teaching yourself actionscript. The game, though slightly less than original, has a smooth flow, good controls, and nice atmosphere. The only suggestion I have would be to pass on what you have learned to others by posting the script/tutorial on www.flashkit.com to help better the flash community. Keep up the good work!
This was a pretty good version of asteroids. There was plenty of variety for such such a simple concept with three ships, and plenty of bonuses / power ups. The sounds effects really added to the enjoyment of it overall.
Pretty nice
This could easily be transformed in to the classic and addictive "Asteroids" game. Just figure out how to make the bigger asteroids break in to tinier ones and how to make the objects wrap around the screen. Trust me, games like that top the charts.
Also, you got skill. But please do drop those annoying "kapow! pshhhh! blam!" sound effects you did by voice. It was funny, but....
