Most artists think that a great song is made by filling every possible moment with sound, to keep the ears busy. But a better technique is to provide breakdowns and skips to make the ear focus more, give it some change. Excellent work on this one. Like you said, it's a sick song. But you don't need to try in order to like this one. ;)
