Needs more detail
Taking a screenshot of your computer works great, if you can see the details right. I can't read what all of the icons say underneath and the icons themselves look like badly drawn sprites. If you fixed that, you'fd be up there with Animator Vs Animation.
Still, it's a nice start and a nice little idea you have here, keep working on it

I know the picture detail suck, but the screen size was bigger than you see. (It got smaller on NewGrounds.. I dont know why?)
It wasn´t really maked for NewGrounds in the first place, but why not submit it anyway?

It was very slow, next time try to animate on 20 fps or above, Mario's anim wasn't so smooth (again the fps) and the u should pay a bit more attention on the image's quality (like the windows in back)

If I were Mario, I'd go crazy in there too! Come on man! you can't put Mario on a desktop and expect it to be totally entertaining! It ran out of ideas in less than a few minutes! try the mushroom kingdom next time!
Why sprites?
It was actually okay until that hammer thing.
Wtf was that about? The mario animation got worse after that too.
