More Death...
Well, the first point I would like to make is that I thank you for not making this movie involve a general attack and bombing of Afghanistan. There is indeed no need to encourage the deaths of thousands of innocents nor more racial tensions and anger against an entire culture for the actions of a few fanatics. I credit you at least for that, but the rest of the movie I found rather disappointing. The primary reason was that it featured a glamorous, vengeful killing of bin Laden. While this was in a far more cartoonish format than normal as far as plot, mirroring the other "Mr. T vs. X" movies, it was still that. And it still gave those who viewed it a way of venting their anger and hate on bin Laden. I am opposed not only to that, but to any killing in any format. Terrorists have no rights to another human life, but neither do victims or justice dealers. Human life in itself has a sacredness and potential, regardless of how that is abused, and there is not one human that reserves the right to kill another, especially not if the death is the result of fury, passion, vengeance, hate, and rage. Those are all negative qualities, ones that need to be quelled not only for the good of humanity and the individual but also before we can claim to be even partially capable of true justice making. I strongly believe that killing him will bring out more bad in people by giving them an outlet for their own worst emotions, that it will not bring healing or emotional well-being, for it will neither bring the people back who died nor replace the part of our lives that they filled, and that in the end more terrorism will result. Either in the form of more fanatics seeking revenge for the death of someone who has now been "martyred", or in pushing potential terrorists over the edge through our aggressive military operations that are the result of the untangible, unrealistic "War on Terrorism". I think it's bad for anyone to chant for the death of another, and that it is little more to the eye than a group of angry, vicious apes pounding their chests in a bloody fervor. It is an outright calling for evil and expression of hate, two things that are discouraged by anyone. And for that reason, I dislike films that present the death of bin Laden for people to execute or "enjoy", and for that reason I give my score. In addition...I thought the rebuilt World Trade Center shaped like "the bird", so to speak, and the donkey comment were a bit inappropriate and unnecessary.
