"Good"

This game is good, it just needs more stuff to do, when you get everything, it gets somewhat boring, I love the game, it's just that it gets boring over time. Nice job.

DannyP responds:

But then who would play the other lovely games on Newgrounds created by aspiring Flash artists?

the sequel

i hope on the sequel u can punch, kick, stab and slash his own father(who is -1 dad)because if u come in u always get 500 knuckle punch

Chocolate cake or chocolate cake?

I can't decide!

Not bad, but not great, some where after ok

This game was fun, it kept me entertained and that is what I was looking for. I like these kinds of games and I am always lookin for more. I gave this game a six because there were some things I liked about this game. You do not have to take heart all my suggestions, as I have many. I enjoyed getting drunk and working at all the different places. It was fun to explore and avoid the shitty drivers. There were some things I did not like, as a lot of people said, there is no sound, not that bad, but it would have been nice to have some. Getting sent to prison was a pain in the ass, but it made the game a little harder, which is nice cuz I get sick when people make games too easy to beat. There could have been more things to buy for your houses and more houses to buy. There are several places to work, but if there were more, it would make it a little more fun. The larger the map, the more you can do, in turn, the more time it may take. I understand you can only do so much when the game is running from the browser. The biggest improvement would be to add more stuff to buy. You can buy some stuff, but once you buy the seven or so things to buy, it gets boring. Also, only being able to buy two houses limited the game because again, not a lot to spend what little money you make. The characters in the game were fun at first, but then it got old, they did the same stuff and did not contribute to the game after about 15 minutes or so. They sort of got annoying, because I knew what they were going to do and I tended to ignore them, if you could interact with them better, that would be cool. Anyway, this was a fun game and you shouldn't be so hard on yourself, no game is perfect. The goal is to make sure the players like it, and they did, so good job. I am looking forward to a sequal, you can do a great job. I enjoyed the first one and when and if the next one comes out, I'll play it!

DannyP responds:

Very nice review here, thanks for the suggestions. The NPC interaction is something I really overlooked, and so did 99% of the reviewers (I think there might have been a couple other people to mention it). Seeing the guy get run over during his "morning jog" (regardless of the time of day) everytime you step outside is kinda lame, haha.

I actually played this game again a couple of days ago after reading a bunch of the reviews. Whenever I thought back on it, I thought to myself "I made one crappy game... you barely even get to play; you just click buttons to work and watch your stats go up!" But it wasn't all that bad. It gave me a few laughs and some entertainment. Seeing it all again made me wanna do the sequel after all, but I should REALLY finish some other projects before I think about that!

Anyhow, thanks for the review and thanks for playing. Four years since I made this game; I'm still a lousy programmer, but I could really make something worthwhile with my abilities now... but for now I must join you all in wondering if I'll ever make a sequel.

Sequal

awsome! make a sequal!

DannyP responds:

I might... I might not. I kinda want to, but I have other projects I wanna do more. All you people have been waiting for a Stick RPG 2 / Meteolife 2 for 4 years, though... Kinda makes me want to try and give you guys what you all want, but it's still very low on my priorities.
