Reviews for "Prince of War"

good battles, fun enemies, and just hard enough.

it wasn't too easy or too hard, I'm amazed that you didn't overdo or underdo the difficulty.

--SPOILERS--
I really like the idea of you bein able to go behind the back to kill/attack the enemy as a stragetic position, since enemies will continue to march at you and then attack YOUR back.

The variety of units really surprise me though! Not regarding the Drawves or Elves or Knights... but I mean like with the ally of a weird wizard and gryphon... I seriously didn't see that coming.

The storyline, however, is good... but too much reading involved... I stopped readin them all when I reached the level where the King restored the ranks of his son and the soldiers outside... anything you can do with that?

I must say though, I have died a few times and needed to restart a few times until I got the hang of it.

GOOD GAME overall =]

Retail-worthy.

Sell this. Beef it up with some non-Flash graphics (DirectX for example), perhaps some actual cutscenes, add some gameplay mechanics, and this would be an awesome game that I would buy from any EB. You're more than halfway there. As it is, this is the best Flash game I have played (all the way through!) in a LONG time. This will almost certainly reach the front page. Very, very nice work.

An improvement, yes...

Yes, it's nice finally being able to personally take part in the main battle intead of just fighting the peons at the top of the screen. There's a major problem, though: THE PEONS ARE STILL UP THERE AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN. And since the game is over if even one of them gets through, and my other soldiers won't attack them, I have to make sure I kill them immediately. Since my guy runs like he just ate a Thanksgiving dinner, there's very little hope of catching them. Even less so if I have to recharge his health beforehand. Either lose the peons or let me send my men after them.

Also...being able to save would be nice.

Erm....

isnt this just a copy of the game battle for gondor?

Asvegren responds:

We've only invested a couple of months remaking it. Glad to know our efforts in improving the game have been noticed. -__-

cool

Don't change anything. It rocked. Making the hero normal makes it more belivable. He doesn't need a mega death ray to be cool. It was kind of like chess (choosing speed this time or power next time or inexpensive when there are problems) I really liked it
