Reviews for "Walking in the Desert"

AH!

This is exactly what I meant ^__^ One of your best! Used dissonance beautifully and wasn't shy about it either. The melody was pure and beautiful. The harmony and tempo changes worked greatly! I'm serious when I say that you sould really look into getting signed for New Age composition. This is beautiful!

Hey there my friend! Thanks for listening!
Cool! one of my bests? that means a lot man! thanks for tha amazing support I'm glad you liked it!

Very nice

This song is very nice, I like the composition very much.
It starts off really quite, but gets a bit louder during the intro until it reaches a level where it is just loud enough so I can hear everything, but it isn't too loud, so I have to be quiet to listen to this piece. Already the sounds my keyboard makes when I type are too loud and they distract me from the song. And that's what I like about it: I have to keep quiet to listen to it, it "forces" me to sit back and do nothing while it plays.

Great work!

This is a very nice piece all around. I really liked how relaxing it was. It almost seemed to be one of those submissions were you couldn't really tell if it was really sad or almost a happy/sad mix. I'm assuming that you were going for the sad theme here alone though.

Very nice piece all around like I already said. I really enjoyed the piano. There's not much that I can find to say about it though. Being lost for words isn't a bad thing though I suppose. :P

Thanks for checking my piece!

Wow!!

Nice man, the song is really great and well done, i really liked the whole song the details of the song made me imagine a whole world, it's a perfect song for an intro or a RPG's end, it'd look very nice.

The piano is very nice together w/ another instrument or when is not, I really love to listen classical songs, they're easier to review and it's good to listen while you're reviewing it...

The whole music is very syncronized, it's in perfect harmony, the instruments are harmonious and they sound very well, you really made a perfect job here, congratulations!! Keep it up!! I wanna hear more great songs from you!!

And so comes piece number three! I remember reviewing your water themed one; let's see how earth matches up.

The piano to start with is wonderful. The chord progression starts of pretty melancholy, but then gets a lot happier; as if the sun was rising over the desert, and just for the first 30 seconds you get this great uplifting feeling somehow. And then when the strings come in, just...gah. I love piano with strings, I think they're sounds that compliment eachother infinitely, and you do it so well, here. They're really subtle, as if just ghosting across as a backing accompaniment, but they're present enough to really give an extra boost to the texture.

Love the change in melody at 0:56; I was about to say that the melody could have done with changing a little bit, and with this next section the piano starts getting a lot more lyrical in its melodies. The change in pace is also really nice; again giving that uplifting feeling. That I think the left hand definitely could have done with a little more variety; by 1:45ish especially it starts sounding a little muddy. But it was only for a moment...to be honest I'm trying to find anything to criticise about this piece, because generally it's pretty faultless. The melody is great, the harmony evokes a variety of emotions and the strings-while perhaps almost too distant at times-add a great layer of texture to an already awesome piece. I think I said it last time, but if I didn't: Your friend is lucky to have you writing for him. xD

Hi there my friend! It's amazing knowing you checked my three pieces, it works great for an overall perspective about them. Thanks for saying that I join strings well =)
Hehe yep, sometimes I just let the left hand do little work, but I'll work hard to improve the part that it can take into a piece.
Thanks again for saying those wonderful words, hehe I'm lucky too to have people like you to help me improve =)

Thanks for the wonderful support! take care =)
