Reviews for "TrapDraw"

Eh...

I dunno - is it me or are these games made too often? I've seen hundreds of these trap-the-balls games. I guess I'm just kinda tired of them. But for what it is, you did a good job. Maybe more solid controls though.

All i can see is dots....

But one big one! The idea was there for sure, but, the entertainment factor wasn't so obvious. The idea of having different enemy dots was a welcomed part of the gaming experience, even though things got a bit repetetive; The aim of the game was the same throughout, and i found it dissapointing that the scoring for the different enemies was the same according to the multiplier you had. The graduated speeds of your ball in terms of how close it was to your mouse pointer was annoying when trying to aim for the start point in a hurry, and it would have been a better experience if the mouse pointer was different or made invisible. It's like watching a DVD with the menu still up and the mouse pointer up someone's nose. My last criticism is that it may have been better if there was an internal limit of where the dots could go, and a smaller margin in which your mouse stayed active. Being unable to trap blue dots which move randomly close to the edge is irritating when the ball stops moving because your mouse is a few pixels over the boundary. You become a sitting duck, or have to be patient...
Apart from that it's a good basic game, and the free-flowing lasso idea is a fun one, butthere's still room for maybe a bit more improvement. maybe some bonus levels or challenges where there are obstacles to avoid, etc...

Wasn't that great

Loved the Style of the game because it reminds me of that mini-game from the first Mario Party heh but it wasn't as good as I assumed it was going to be...It was an OK game but nothing spectacular. 1 thumb up d('.')

controls too loose

The game took way to long to load while forcing me to look at that horrible bootgamer screen, barf, and the controls were way too loosey-goosey.

brought me little

Played it maybe 2 times a while ago, 3 times today, until I got to level 11.

+++ Simple, easy to understand game rules.

- I found the edges way too 'bouncy'. Maybe if the speed was halved or something, I'd prefer it.

+++ The black, blue and red shapes are fairly easy to 'work out' and do add some variation.

---- But the strategies required of us seem to be the same throughout.

-- I found the circle I had to touch to connect kinda fiddly and really irritating on occasion. I'd personally far prefer it if we could touch any portion of the line. Though I do accept it'd make it a totally different game.

--- At the end, our score/level reached isn't shown.

- When I clicked on 'instructions' in-game once, I expected to be able to carry on that game. I didn't realise the 'continue previous game' was a seperate button until after, so dunno if that was partially my fault. Even if so, maybe make it more obvious that that's a seperate button.

Not bad. I did find it a bit dull and thought you could have had more variation in what we needed to do (i.e. the strategies we needed to implement). Mildly interesting but brought me little pleasure in its current form.
