Nice breakout.
Orange back ground + white ball = it's going to be a few hours to get my vision back. Sound and multiple colors for the blocks would be nice, but above all, change the color of the background... and make the window bigger. Other than that, it rocked. Take care.
One Problem
The ball doesn't always go in the direction you hit it in. This makes the game annoyingly harder.
Other than that, good job. You should be proud of what you've done.

I have to say that the graphics were good, but the script wasn't very good. I have made a breakout game(look at my profile, it is 'the ultimate game') too. In the real breakout/arkanoid, if the ball hits the left side of the pannel, it flys to the left and if it hits the right side of the pannel, it flys to the right. I made it in my breakout game and i got 0.4 points more than you even if my graphics were crap. And you need sound. I once made a game and submitted it without sound. it was blammed with a score of 1.24/5.00 . Then I re-submitted it with sound and it got a score of 1.92/5.00 .
It wasnt bad.
It was fun for a littel while. I didnt like the fact that the only time you controlled where the ball went was at the launch. Other then that it was fun.
This would get higher interactivity if you fix...
...The fact that the ball's angle can only be determined when you first launch it. After that, you can't hit the ball on different parts of the paddle or move the paddle as the ball hits it to change it's course. All it is is picking a good launch angle and hoping for the best. However, I see there was definitely good effort here, and despite its fatal flaw, it gets a 3. < Yes, I'm light aura. :D
