It's Art!
Politics and art have gone hand and hand since before politics and art were words in any language. Feelings and emotions come up in us all when we feel wronged, hurt, demorilized, or even just plain old unsafe. Jose is an artist very near to this particular event. And artists express these things in ways that mean something to them. And that's is the only thing relevant in this piece.
This is a selfish piece. Like it or not. It is for the artist, and the artist chose to share it. Of course, that may not matter to those who don't know him. But as a friend of his, it matters to me. And for THAT I will defend this piece. It's an interpretation of an event that effected him deeply, weather you care about the U.S. or not. That's all it is. So to me... Ranking this art would be a slap in the face to the author and what he went through in that time.
Reviewing with your opinions on the politics dealt within the art is almost as irrelevant as the art's score on Newgrounds.
So no matter what "side" you're on, what flag you put on the entenna of your car, or even what buildings went down that day, this is art.
If Jose were George Bush, then I could see where the critisism comes from. But he's not. He's a person who had something to express. And art like that you must simply take for what it is. And at very least, it got 190 people talking about important issues.
Now flame the fuck out of me if being a little sensitive (or even using words like sensitive) makes that bitter ball inside of you want to burst. It's all expression, and I can only take that for what it's worth.
At least we said something.
