Just wish it was longer...
I played this game at a point where I was really craving anything that could be called an RPG. This is no contender for any decent RPG on a console, but it has its moments. The graphics are alright: your basic environment (towns, the 'world' map) is simply drawn, but not ugly. The game gives you an isometric view of things, exept for in battle where you get a nice-looking shot of your mech in pseudo-3D and a nicely-drawn picture of your enemy. Animations are simple but then so are many RPG animations. The character portraits look okay, but they're not the kind of drawings you want to really look at beyond what's necessary. The gameplay is simple: go out into the field, kill enemies, get money, beef up your mech. There's a hint of strategy since you have two types of weapon: close(which allows you to attack more often) and ranged (where you do more damage but you have to wait longer between attacks). The game is pretty small (this really is only an introduction to the other Mobile Weapon RPGs), but if you like RPGs even without an epic story behind them, then you should like this game.
