Very Retro And Challenging But Would Have Been More In Its Place If You Had Submitted It A Couple Of Years Ago In '99 Or Something But Overall Good
Awesome Game
I liked this game because of the retro style it had. Also the game itself was pretty challenging and took me quite a few tries to beat it, once you learn the bosses pattern it gets slightly easier, but that tiger boss did kill me a bunch of times. But I love the bosses style of fighting, honestly after the first boss I didnt have a clue on what the other boss would look like, talk about randomness :)
Things to Improve:
I didnt like that once the shield ran out you died, I think that you should be allowed ONE hit without the shield and live, anything after that and die.
Also I think that you should have a bit more variety in the ships, for example in the 2nd level(and first too) you only had one style of ship(im talking about the ones that run accross the screen), I think you should add a few others ones but they should remain about the same size and they should do the same amout of damage and take the same amount of damage. Just change them up a bit so it does not get so repetitive.
Other than that I thought it was a great game.
