Reviews for "<EagleGuard> Frozen Forests"

Nice

Nice piece of work!
I like it, Reminds me of Praetorians. :P

EagleGuard responds:

Thanks! I loved that game too. Glad you liked it. :)

I gave it a 5, this song deserves a higher score

Wow. This is very well arranged. It would be perfect for a movie scene or video level based in, as you put it, frozen forests. I'm definitely getting that solemn winter vibe from this.

On a different note, what software are you using for those instruments? Is that Edirol Orchestral? Very nice sounding and high quality.

I really don't know what to tell you to improve, as far as I can tell this song has no apparent room for improvement. The ending was great. Maybe for structuring sake, add in a changed-up section near the middle of the song, without the oboe, and try to establish a more serene mood with some different instruments and some same, then build it back up. Just a thought, not a problem with the song. So here's a ten! :D

If you could review or at least listen to a song of mine, it would be awesome, because I don't get much feedback. Either way, hope to see you submitting more in the future!

EagleGuard responds:

Wow, that's a long review. Thanks for taking your time to write it!

I'm using the Miroslav Refills (Similar to a VST but for Reason), made by Sonic Reality.

I put in the oboe in the middle to make it different from the first section. I don't really know how I should change it if I left the oboe out.

Thanks for the review and the 10! And I'll take a look at your songs :)

Nice!

Great atmosphere you have going there!

EagleGuard responds:

Thank you!

Great!

I hate to review a submission just after Supersteph reviewed it. Always makes my reviews look so tiny and shitty, lol.

Anyway, this is an amazing piece of art. I liked it from the very beginning. How soft it sounds and how it just sounds awesome... it's hard to create so quiet pieces without them sounding too set back or too boring.
But this song sounds just right. Quiet, calm but interesting.

I like how the melodies kind of "float" in this song. They seem to hover just above the background music and this creates a very nice medival atmosphere.

Nice work!

Glad you liked it! Don't worry, I'm happy with every review I get :)

Thanks for the review!

Truly Relaxing

You know the scene in Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring, where Frodo and his party meet Galadriel after Gandalf dies? This song reminds me of that forest, and an elf sitting on a branch watching over the river.

EagleGuard responds:

I've seen it, and yeah, it does remind me a bit of it too.

Thanks for the review!
