I must be one of the weirdos, but frankly I liked the original better than this rendition. The castanets (or whatever they used) were much more appropriate than a snare drum, but hey, that's my percussionist talking. It's a great composition itself, but as a remake, I find it a bit lacking.

I'm giving you an honest 7, because the drums didn't kick in time to the violin or guitar, unfortunately. 7/10, 4/5. Good job, otherwise.
It's a complimentary rhythm. They don't match exactly, but each complements the other in some way. I can understand your point, though.
Although, it is actually more similar to the guitar than you might think, if you listen to the kick and the snare.

I admit I couldn't do any better, but the pitch is WAY too high, and you're not using the right instruments.
Just because it doesn't sound exactly like it does in the game doesn't mean it's awful.
The idea of these works is to recreate Ocarina of Time's soundtrack, not reproduce it exactly. If you want a reproduction, go and look at ZREO, but my works are intended to give new life to the music, rather than to simply upgrade the instruments. Please, if you aren't going to judge on the quality of the music, just don't review.
Oh, and the pitch is exactly the same as the original piece.
