Great Remix

Great Remix

gerudo valley..

my F***ing favorite song because of the guitar, only reason, the flamingo style (only by the sound of it, not ENTIRELY sure about flamingo) just makes it epic... and this mutation isnt that bad either has its own better parts and not as awesome with the guitar which is underplayed here, its not bad which only means it can be good

Love it!

Especially the drums and guitar. Everything just seemed to fit together really well. Good job, Sir and Keep doing what your doing.

Very Nice!

Excellent job with the song.

The introduction felt a bit stretched the first time I listening to it. I know it was supposed to be a bit of a subtle opening before the main theme, but coupled with the low-volume instruments early on the intro felt a bit weak. After listening to it a couple times, though, it's grown on me. So I guess it turned out decent.

I have next to no knowledge of different instruments, and how beats should work, but I know what I like and dislike. Although I really liked this piece overall, there was an instrument in the background that was ruining it for me (I don't even know the name; it was kind of like a cymbal and it was being used to keep the beat, like a drum. It was generally the same loop over and over again).

It starts playing around 1:05, and it sounds perfectly fine there (It has a beat of: "One, One, One, One-Two"). About 10 seconds in though, the same loop starts becoming a bit choppy. There should be some leftover noise from the 'striking' of the instrument, but it cuts off suddenly from time to time. It started irritating my ears after a while, even though it was nothing more than background beat. I'm hoping that was my speakers, and if it was disregard this =\

On the upside, I liked the points in which two instruments played the main theme at once (i.e. 1:27) to give that echo-ish effect, and I thought that whole bit at the end was great. You clearly know how to make good music, and you definitely did justice to the original GV theme. Excellent work, as per usual.

Hoeloe responds:

The cymbal you are describing is an open hi-hat. The cutting off sound is often made with this cymbal by closing it. It is intentional that it does this, because it is definately possible. With other cymbals, the sound is often cut off by simply grabbing the cymbal to deaden it's movement. These sounds do happen, and it was not a mistake.

Thanks for the review though, I always like to read people's opinions, especially if they have an issue to bring up.

Fits for a queen!

The sound, the music, the environment you get from the song. This is fit for the queens!
