Reviews for "2006 Flatland II"

I know you tried your best but truth be told this was kinda boring. Had some potential but I think it was a bit too dialogue heavy. Ah well

hahah Nice

So I just read this book a few days ago, and then I was perusing the flash portal as usual and I was like "OMFG FLATLAND!! Is that THE Flatland???" and it was. A short little game thingie. Anyway I was like "There could be MORE!" and searched for flatland and came across your piece. Awesome! I love your ending. soooooo good. Hilarious. The animation is good and everything. Although one of those polygons was totally irregular. Probably evil. >POKE<

Great!

This was a great flash I personaly think. It made no sense to me, but it was great! Can't wait to see any others.

It's not a lit class but...

I do wonder, what's the pyramid's motivation? What could a 2D government possibly offer him that he can't get on his own by playing god?

LusikkaMage responds:

His ideals? No one says all Spacelanders want the Flatlanders to become a part of their world. There could be a whole other branch, and the Pyramid could have offered himself for hire, even though he would have done it without pay, but didn't want the Council peoples to think too deeply about why he would for free... So he made it seem like he was greedy for flat monies.

At least, that's what I was thinking about, but I didn't want to make it deep, har. ^-^

Awesome.

Edwin Abbott's 'Flatland' is one of my favorite books. I thought this was an interesting extension of the story, and (although I haven't read it in a while) I thought your visual interpretation of the characters and places was true to the book. This will get a lower score than it deserves because the graphics were so simple, but I felt you did a very nice job.
