Reviews for "Sleepless Knight: Part 2"

It's still good, but the same problems.

I gave Sleepless Knight Part 1 a 4/5, and really this feels like the first one with a new coat of paint. It's still a nice game, but the same problems, namely the lack of a save feature and the losing all of your upgrades upon death, still exist. Can't give it more then 3/5. Sorry.

The-EXP responds:

did yu just play the first one twice? theres no save feature cause it owuld be pointless, theres a continue feature in the form of a level password system, as for losing all your upgrads when you die -you don't. you keep all the upgrades you entered the level you died on again. now play it again properly and rate fairly, this game is far superior to part 1 from both a design and programming point of view.

nice

overall a great game but the bats are annoying as hell

T'was good

Its was ok i didnt beat it cus i gto stuck at mount newgroundia at those boucne pads they where really annoying but other than that good!

Sweetness

My upgrades have been saved!! Hallelujah!!! lol anywayz I still havent beated 1 but this game is indeed sweetness. i liked the assortment of obstacles and the new epon and armour look. I gave u a 5

Nicely Done!

A great (if still a tad buggy) sequel...

A very cute game, however some issues still cropped up (i.e.: endless cycles of dying at the beginning of a stage due to a bug). I also had a hard time with some spots in the desert "lift" puzzles due to clipping. The level mat could use some texturing, and some of the hit-zone boxes on the saw-thwomps need tweaking to be more fair to the player.

Additionally, the "combo" system that was said to be implemented still seems to include "Roll" and only "Roll." No amount of tricks or button mashing did anything but *swing-swing-swing-throw*.

On the upside, again, the permanent upgrades are a welcome addition. The jumping is a lot more forgiving, now you'll snap on top of a platform that is moving toward you. The upgrades are suitably neat looking, and the buy menu is a lot hardier against bugs... but be VERY cautious using the "Restart" command as I have several times ended up in a buggy infinideath situation and had to close the window and start again.

My advise for an additional sequel is to re-write the whole thing again -and for goodness sake *clean* the code a little more. It's disheartening to get so far in the game and get bugged to death.
