Reviews for "TouHou Hardstyle - Bad Apple"

Friggin' awesome

I've never heard hardstyle before somehow out of the hundreds if not thousands of bands and DJ's that I've listened to and this is awesome. I'm going to have to find some more hardstyle.

There are tons of dances you can do to!

Not bad.

but your missing quite a few chorms and drims. Just my opinion though. Hope you fix it!!

Interesting but. . .

As others have said the first minute was a bit too repetitive. I also found the second minute to be a bit beat heavy which completely overpowered the somewhat nerve grating instrument used in the background.

I liked the third minute most, fourth minute brought back the beat somewhat with an interesting background I could actually here. If the beat were toned down 25% I think it would mesh better with the song. Fifth minute was kind of a mix of minutes 1, 2 and 4. A bit repetitive for the first half then an overpowering beat with an interesting background.

So many audio artists seem to go overboard on the thumping when they have an interestingly technical sound that could make the song pretty unique if people could focus on that instead of hearing "TUM-TUM-TUM-TUM-TUM-TUM" over it.

Don't know if you care to try the following recommendations but I'll suggest them just the same.

Cut out the first 2 minutes, add a half-minute buildup in front of minute 3 to tie in. Decrease the impact of the beat in Minute 4 by 25% or so, minute 5 by 50%. Blend them into the technicality of the song instead of setting them apart.

I LIKED the music, I just couldn't focus on much of it, kept getting distracted by the beat. If the beat were present but well blended you would keep the techno beat for those who want it but show some notes alongside.

Sorry for the wall of text, just hard to explain my thoughts properly with a comment like "tis wuz de suXXorz rofl n00b" which, thankfully, few if anyone here appears to be the type to reply as such.

I appreciate the feedback and sincere suggestions but this is hardstyle it's supposed to over power and punch you in the face.

hmm what to say...

I guess, one of the risks of remixing a song is that it becomes something thats not the song. I love bad apple, its currently the theme song of my days. but for me it's the lyrics that make me fall into a happy trance. the actual music to the song is relatively unmemorable and kinda squeaky.

but since this lacks the lyrics, and its a absolute alteration of the music to the point I dont even recognize it as bad apple. I'm pretty sure you can release this as a stand alone song without using the bad apple name as a crutch.

So on its own, its a pretty decent hard-style song. I think I will be listening to it on loop till I go to sleep tonight. Grats on the top 5 of the week~ and keep up the good work.
