Reviews for "Time Squad [Part 1]"

pretty good

different form of animation from you i like the step up in length and detail you put in on this one really good job. i hope to get a deeper meaning in this one since its actualy like a movie and your blockheads where just short skits. and so far im kind of lost on the stroy line pretty much the futuristic officer is the one that gets me..he just jumps threw i time portal willingly leaving his life in his time behind to help out some random girl who ran up to him told him that thing attacked her so the officer aoutomaticaly trusts and belives her and starts shooting at it w/o asking any questions. that section just seems out of place and buged me. but other then that i really liked it and your robots highly impressed me you did a great job on them. i look forword to seeing the rest of the seris and piece together what the hell is going on lol. keep up the good work.

Blockhead!

I've been waiting for a new flash since the last one came out. This one made the wait worthwhile. Very good job. I can't wait for the next one.

Awesome!! Good work!! ))

WOWOWOW!

Amazing. Fantastic. An inspiration to all of us animators out there. One thing though that i would SOO appreciate if you answered this question, is when Blockhead and the woman and doctor were flying in the car through the future, and they were passing skycrapers, I paused the cartoon and noticed that the buildings weren't just stretched to the side to look like they were going by fast, but they were actually drawn with brush in a very dragged way, so that if you paused on them you'd see that they didn't really look like buildings, but more of a stretched Shagal painting. How the hell did you do that?!

The-Swain responds:

Man, I don't quite remember now that you mention it. How I drew it isn't something that comes back to me, but I do recall the idea in my head at the time. See, when you look at a long-exposure photograph, it's always the lights that are prominant. Thus I didn't just draw the window lights, but instead I drew them all together as one huge blur. Since the buildings were gonna be flying by so quickly, I wanted to make sure that the lights were what stood out most.

The last 1 i'm about 2 cry!!!
