Change the Controls a bit
River City Ransom is one of my favorite games of all time, and this is an excellent copy of the first two screens of the game. The only thing that I would change is the way you have Alex run. It would be much easier to have a person tap left or right twice quickly to run in that direction. That would make the game feel a lot more like the NES game, and would probably play better also. I also think that you should change the jump to the punch and kick buttons pressed at the same time, again to make it more like the game
Pretty nice update
Not bad at all, given the time took between updates. You even added in "Barf!" and some other pretty good death messages. I think the best thing to focus on now would be to do add more places to go, and more enemy types to fight. Hope to see a full version soon.
