Wow. Just wow.
I'm not going to go on too much this time, just that this would be appropiate for a final boss: final phrase. As in: see short cutscene > friend/enemy appears > Final boss recovers hp > finish final boss > escape evil crumbling citadel.
It's also good for credits, but no good at all for normal battles except with legendary creatures.

Lots of people are saying that this would make a great boss battle theme. I think so too. I'm making an RPG in RPG Maker XP, and I was going to use a cool guitar riff for the battle theme, but after hearing this, I want to use it!
Someday, you'll be professionally making the music for video games and getting your music on soundtracks, and I'll buy the soundtrack and see "Paragon X9" or whatever your real name is and say, I listened to that guy's music when I was a kid!

I definately agree with one of the previous reviewers of this work...it does sound like it could belong in one of the Final Fantasy games. But which one it belongs in, I'm still debating in my mind.
