Reviews for "Kogent Knight"

pretty good

it would have been nice if the character would react faster to the buttons i pressed. it is still pretty good and very basic which is cool.

I liked it

The programming and art was good. However, there were a few things missing. It seemed like each fight between characters was repetitive and easy. I like how you had a shop and all but you needed more items in there. New Sheilds, Helmets, and maybe some HP power-ups. This was a really good game but with a few slight adjustments it could've been amazing.

I liked it a lot

Yes, there were some bugs :( but nothing, in my opinion, that inhibited the enjoyability of the game.
Here are the bugs I noticed (and can remember):
1.) I think there was a shop somewhere near the beginning that looked open, but didn't say press e to enter and wouldn't let me in. I played through the first few levels again and can't find it, maybe it was just me.
2.)It doesn't really matter, but it slightly bothered me that I got the power ups (health and squiggles) from inside the boxes before I broke them. I actually found it nearly impossible to be able to see what was in them because by the time I was close enough to break it, it was already picked up.
3.)One time I left a shop and there was a green dude with a club stuck in the ground that wasn't there when I entered. He disappeared when I started walking, though.
4.)I was disappointed with the shops, on the whole. I would've liked there to have been more items, and them to cost more squiggles. It seemed like it took a very short amount of time to get the axe. Maybe more items, or maybe a rank system. Wimpy knight gets crappy sword. Strong knight gets the better sword. Powerful knight gets the club, and Super knight gets the axe, or something. Squiggles would be come points, rather than money. The abundance of money led me to believe that you expected some people to jump over or skip some of the enemies, which I didn't even consider until after the fact.
5.)I was sad that there wasn't a big boss at the end.
6.)Since the character could jump a lot higher than seemed necessary, I kind of expected the levels to go into multiple floors. Like, you get to the far right wall, the have to jump up some kind of stairs back to the left, then back to the right for the exit sign.

I really did think it was a great game, though. I would love to see a sequel. I have to say that I don't think you need to change the last level as Sonicthehedghog (which, by the way is spelled hedgehog with 2 e's)suggested. There is more than enough time to finish, I think I had 7 seconds left when the cut scene started. I was actually disappointed at how easy it was. I didn't even notice the timer at first, though, so I went slow for a bit. I guess there may be a need for a retry button, but maybe not... I don't know that I got the ending necessarily. Where was she supposed to be, a castle? If so, wouldn't there have been like, some kind of castle guards other than monsters? I must have misread or just missed part of the story there. I was wondering, though, were the falling pieces of castle (?) supposed to hurt you? I found that I couldn't get them to, even when I tried., they always landed just behind me.

Anyways, great game guys! Keep it up!

Sorta bugged :(

It was ok, `but if you fell off in the last bit, then you couldnt try again, maybe it needed a higher timer

Very good

Making it just a little faster-paced and the jump easier to do (it feels kind of stuck...I dunno how to say it.)

Oh and the first and 4th shops didn'T work.

I gotta say, because it wasn't very divertified only getting the Axe kept me going. And then I stopped anyway at the sinister valley. There could have been boss fights.
