very remniscent of balloon duel

this is a great idea. the controls, gameplay, and graphics need to be refined, but otherwise, thi is a great work in progress. some weapons are particularly cheap and some weapons just plain suck. i think you need to develop some way of using more strategy and not just hoping you get a good item when you grab the box.

In the process of making this game I learned alot of things!

genius.

this is great. brilliant idea, done really well. ran smoothly, looked good, fast paced and just really good fun. only thing wrong with it is it lacks any longetivity (by that i mean i got bored in five minutes). make another but put unlockable things in, like characters etc. so i have a reason to play it for hours on end. really good game man, good work.

It's has no longativity, because I made it as my College FLASH class project. And presentation time was limited. So Had to avoid storyline.

NOW- since the game came out sucessful and PPL play it and enjoy it- YES! I AM GOING TO MAKE A SECOND ENCOUNTER game WITH TOURNAMENT LADDER.

great, but I have some complaints

This is a great game, kind of like a combo of balloon fight and joust and a terrible lot of fun. The thing that ruined it for me was the ability to go off the side of the screen and reappear on the other side. it leads to some particularly cheap tactics and makes the game confusing to no end. If you bounced off the walls it would be much more fun to really duel and not just flail randomly. Also whats with the ships constantly bobbing up and down even when you arent hitting the button. A gentle bobbing in place would be nice for looks, but they constantly climb or descent depending on your last direction and its very annoying.

The Up and down bobbing is little misunderstood-
It's only a ROOF limit. -
During Beta TEST I saw PPL constantly go up offscreen, and that was real ennoying. Therefore- I made a ROOF limit- so it tries to keep players onscreen. -
I did test the game by making that border higher, but it was bad then- because players tend to go upward above each other- and go offscreen.
this seems to be better.
About walls- I'll think about it. I might do a level that can scroll a little bit to both sides.
