Lol sorry for using the wrong M word
Beautiful. Your mastering is nice on this track...and the MIX on your drums is something that people aspire to (yeah, sorry in my last review for using the word master incorrectly lol). And yes, the aussies have it: Take Pendulum as a DnB artist, and Karnivool and Closure in Moscow in the rock genre. Those guys are badass, and I was referring to their ability to carry on a song and keep it interesting and varied the whole way through (again, sorry if that seemed random lol). I guess that was before I saw the WIP in the title though...dammit. Well, I hope you can finish something in the same vein; you've got excellent ideas, so don't stifle em! I'm looking forward to your finished projects.

what software do you use, just curious? where do you get these breaks/drum samples?

I use FL Studio 9, and I just get massive packs of kick drums and snares that are recorded. I just layer them and compress, chop and EQ till I get a nice punchy Kick, same for the snares. I usually chop up breaks and cut the low and mid for background hats, and use seperate hats for the main break.
