Quite a Theme...
I was going to say that the chorus made it sound a bit less, but then after the instrumental chorus came in- well, it was quite a fill in. Its music like this I really look forward to- because it sounds very realistic.
the beginning sounds soothing. its also something I can nod my head to listening to it.
If my animation plan ends up working next year, your the first I'm coming to.

It's not bad, but...
...Personally, I didn't feel like this qualified as hip hop for a few reasons:
1) It really made me think of something like the theme song to a police drama series or something.
2) The beat doesn't change, and there are no (ZERO) break beats.
3) The track's tempo is really slow and it has a synth-choir.
Last thing I want to say: this is CLOSE to being trip hop. With a bit more tempo and a bit more compression in the beat, I think I might change my mind. As it stands, I really wasn't so impressed that I thought this deserved 10's. It's not bad though.
