Well
First I like to say I had played this game before however I hated it so much I only got through the first few levels, at the time I didn't have an account however now that I do I guess it's time to review this one..
I guess I'm reviewing the game itself, and not the nostalgia right?
The graphics, lazy..Sure it's supposed to imitate atari fine.
Now what realllly irked me was how the game was coded, and that would be the collision detection and the controls responsiveness. Now having a slightly delayed jump is a bother, but sometimes it can't be helped. Whatever.. But the HUGE problem is the collision detection
.
Hey is there a block there? GUESS NOT.
Falling through the level is bad mmkay? Imagine if you were playing any given mario game and everytime you went to jump you fell through the game's floor. Even if atari games had bad detection it doesn't give an excuse for this to.
Infact I think this game would be great if it weren't for poor coding. And it's not like he didn't know it had these issues, infact several latter levels RELY on this to be the entire challenge... That's just bad design Imo.
Lastly, I don't think the game is actually hard, sure the timing may be a bit bothersome at points but the real reason this game gives the impression of being difficult is the fact that everytime you jump you fall THROUGH something.
