Reviews for "Tremen"

You are a threat and must be destroyed.

I missed some of the credits at the end, and I know you didn't pick the music - but I just don't understand how you animated much of this yourself. I'm just learning some of the techniques you used in there myself. (like the "fake" lighting and effects you just can't do in Flash, so you have to learn to mimic them or look at how others have done it. How did you learn all those Flash tricks??)

If you animate just as well 3 years from now , it will still be excellent (although by then hopefully you'll have learned flash enough to work faster and more efficiently - it's handy). There was very little lacking, although there wasn't much of a plot, but the graphics made up for that.

Good luck pwning us all in the future.

Glad to see some people with a sense of humour.
Thanks for the positive comments, and yeah since I made this, I've learned to animate a lot quicker, and my next animation should be out...in a while..

Nice

Firstly I have to say congrats on having done this. I truly admire the work you guys put into making these flashes. I really liked the story. I little confusing but I'm sure you'll piece it all together. The animation was very fluent. The music was beautiful. i loved every second. Reminds me of the stories i would make up when i was yonger. I'm sure that your skills as a flash animator will continue to grow. Keep up the great work.

good for a 14 year old...

Being the same age as you, i'm suprised how much you can accomplish with these flash movies. This whole thing just got more fluent and better as it went on, something I really enjoyed seeing it. With a bit more practice you could be one of the more accomplished authors on the site. Great job!

Galenlome responds:

Thanks for that :D

The reason for it getting better as it went on, (in my opinion) was because at the beginning, I pretty much sucked at animating. But since I did this over about 1 year my skills improved a lot, and I think it shows in the animation.

Thanks again.

You, sir, are a fine animator

You're backgrounds are detailed, mysterious, and overall just awesome. Extremely smooth animation(and boy do I know, that is time consuming) and very well sequenced. The fights are kinda random, but when it looks this good, who cares. Great job man.

Galenlome responds:

Thanks, it means a lot from someone whose talent is blatantly obvious :P

Very nice..

And obvious fan of Adam Phillips, very influenced by his artwork. Though I thought your visuals were quite stunning and you obviously put a lot of hours into this, I noticed that your animation style was very "jolty" like it kinda came out in bursts. Also, many objects I felt were too static. There were many instances when he would, for example, touch a bush and it would just sit there as if it were made out of plastic. I kind of felt that the animation would have been more powerful if you didn't have any sound effects because the music itself was pretty beautiful as it was, and that one scene where he talks to the alien with the crappy mic was quite dissapointing. However, I defenitley loved the backgrounds, good work. Yup, just some things to think about, but overall I enjoyed it.
