A wonderful breath of fresh air
After forcing myself to sit through hundreds of horrid portal entries, it's wonderful to see something so well-made. Things like this make me not give up all hope for sprite-based flash. I haven't seen the previous entries, but this one has already piqued my interest to see them. The animation was oustanding, and the sprites all blended well with the backgrounds. Music selection was top-notch; nothing jarring about the BGM. Just one complaint...the falling sword was ugly as sin. Considering how nice everything else looked, I felt it threw off the drama.
Pros: Animation is far and away the best I've seen in sprites, music blends seamlessly
Cons: Just that sword...
Suggestions: The number damage from the rainstorm gave the sequence a lovely FF feel, so why not use them in all the fight scenes? I think that would really add a lovely bit of flavor. Looking forward to the next installments (and watching the previous entries!).
Stylistically amazing, Great effects
A very nice production. The non-action bits require you are familiar with the other episodes to fully appreciate it but this movie is worth watching for the fight scenes alone. The style and flow of the attackers is refreshing and well scripted. The narrative style is also very sharp and even a little humorous with the painful rain. Very well done and definitely work a look.
