I think there’s some truth in that
Boarding school is a strange thing that leads to becoming gay (well over a long period of time) and wonder if it would eventually lead to insanity. For an example in the 1950s in the UK two girls that went to boarding school fell in love and killed one girls mother when the mother forbid that they be together.
