Reviews for "October Massacre"

Hey.

That was unbelievably catchy.
I kind of wish there wasn't so many sounds that sounded like a midi file,
but other than that, I really liked the beat of it.
I'll probably download it after a couple more listens.
Good job, keep it up.

merlin responds:

Thanks! I guess the midi sounds were me keeping in touch with where I started... Maybe I'll re-work some parts here while I still have some steam.

I'm glad you liked how catchy it was. This is one of the only songs I've made that I didn't get super tired of hearing when I was working on it... Only moderately tired of hearing it...

Regards,
merlin

Good as Always

It sounds so familiar, yet so different. It sounds like it would fit into an rpg or an opening to an adventure movie/television series. Keep up the good work :-).

merlin responds:

Thanks for the review! Tell a friend about my song! A friend that you think would enjoy it.

Regards,
merlin

WOW

As always good stuff keep up the work

What crosses my mind...

Villagers run in terror as an army of shadows sweeps across their lands. In the midst of the crowd stands a young girl, her hair, dark as the shadows, blows in the wind. She gazes at the shadows with eyes as white as the full moon above, and reaches down to pick up a fallen sword. She charges the army, holding them back single-handedly with nothing but the borrowed blade. Still it is not enough, as she is thrown back with violent force, crashing to the ground. She looks about, seeing the faces of friends and family overshadowed with a mask of fear. Letting loose a cry of rage, she once again charges her foes. Suddenly, a pair of wings, one black as her hair, the other white as her eyes, burst forth from her back and carry her high into the sky. She begins chanting in a tongue unknown to her, and watches as the shadows are taken within her own body, sealing them inside. As the last shadow is absorbed, she falls to the ground, and with one last look at the faces of those she cares about more than anything in the world, she smiles as her body hardens into a stone prison for the shadows. As the villagers gather in a crowd 'round the newly created statue, a mixture of fear and awe across all their faces, they hang their heads in solemn thanks as a single tear rolls down the statues cheek...

Repeat

Wow, what really caught my attention at first was the length. I knew the song is 2:44 at length, but I was multitasking while listening and it seemed to never end. I replayed it and watched the timeline go by. I love how the song seems to play only once when it's really repeating over and over.

While this was playing [and it still is lol], I've been thinking a lot about the past, present and future. It's a very nice melody, and you're right, I did come to enjoy this song very much. Thank you for writing to me. :)
