Reviews for "Akira The Don - CLONES"

Now that was awesome!

This is probably the best flash that i have seen sinc The touchtone Genious 5 days ago. Basically everything in it was done to a level way above the average, and it even had some extra things that you dont usually see in animations on this site. A perfect example would be how it actually had a message behind it, even if it was a bit challenging to understand it completely. But seriously man i was impressed, i love these kinds of flash that actually make me think or feeling something after i have finished watching them. I will say this is going into my favs, for trying to do something a bit differently, and doing it well. Here is my review.

First off, the graphics were mighty impressive. Especially the very first scene with the squirrel on the tree, you got me into it right off the bat. Throughout the movie your style changed from the first scene, and it was a good thing you did because i felt this other style fit the flash much better. The drawings were excellent, you definitely have talent for stuff like this, the detail, and unique design you put into your characters really shows. The colours were great, and you kind of seemed to adjust where you needed to, not to many artist do that often, if at all. The backgrounds were usually quite good, and the same goes for the animation. The style certainly deserves a 10 as well, this is the main thing the flash had going for it in my opinion. There was also much more than just a cool animating style that contributed to a 10 in this category. The idea, the presentation, the message it was all there, and they were all strong. The idea to make a music video to a song like this is pretty unique, not many people try and do this. The presentation suit the song just perfectly, it was kind of crazy, and a little bit gruesome where necessary to get some lyrics from the song across. There was a message in this, i only understood the most basic part of it, and it will take some careful analysis for me to understand it completely, and i sure do love a movie that keeps me coming back to watch it over and over. The sound was awesome, it was mostly just the song. But the song could not be used much more effectively than it was in this. Got the full song across with animatin very nicely. I personally liked the song, except in the second verse i think it was, the singers flow was a little off compared to the beat of the song. That was easy to overlook if you just sat down and listened to the lyrics themselves.

Overall this was a really good movie, and i always respect artist that can try something different, well if they appear to be at least. I have high expectations for some of your future movies, im also eagerly awaiting another one. Please keep the submissions coming strong man!
~Standing Ovation! 5/5

Damn, someone swap his pot!

I don't know what you were smoking when you were doing the drinking song, but it looks like your supply got swapped or spiked entirely.

In a nutshell, I loved your Drinking song but I feel your going on a vibe none of us yanks are feeling. That may be becuase there's no vibe there at all.

((( VERY NICE )))

Wow im more shocked at the size of the flash then anything else, 11+ megs is really the largest movie on newgrounds, and while it was that big it was really good work, very nice setting, and played out well in the story took forever to download but was worth the wait and the characters and artwork really presented themself very well, i like dthe story though really kept me intesrested, anyways nice job im still in shock of the size though...

~X~

:D

that was so awesome! the thing with the book and the flower was supposed to be like brave new world right. The lyrics were awesome and the imagery though disturbing demonstrated it's point

That was awesome...what just happened?

I have no idea who was singing but that was real cool. the beginning must have been influenced by aldous huxley's writing, right?
