That was a very well thought out sprite battle. I liked the fact that the scenery changed (albeit it was once) and the fighting synced together very nicely. I think if you had wanted to make a story line you could do so, you have the flash going for you, now just make a plot
Excellent sprite work
I was impressed by the sprite work, and there was a narrative to the battle that did seem to play out well towards the end. The pace was spot-on, and there were some moments where I was both beginning to wonder and interested in where it was headed.
As has been said before, though, your choice and use of characters could have been better. The megaman bias was obvious, and Sonic, in particular, stood out in only one way; how little he actually did. It really seemed like you just threw him in to kill him, and nobody was really surprised when you did. His death would have been much more dramatic had he actually been a decent combatant. Although there are definitely more Sonic Battle sprites than you used, you would probably have benefitted by using another character in his place (unless, of course, you wanted to go for the old Super Sonic cliche). Shadow, perhaps?
Character usage aside, it was fun to watch. Nice job!

I'm not a big fan of sprite flashes, but this was very well put together. I was rooting for Sonic, though.
