So much potential, and yet...
First off, this is an excellent game. Very innovative, and nicely crafted. There's no doubt about that. Making a breakout game that was circular instead of flat, like a game of tennis, was a great idea. The graphics are smooth and simple, which is good for a game like this. The sound was pretty solid as well, and the overall gameplay was awesome.
However, this game has a small yet serious problem that makes it difficult to play. When a player gets a combo (i.e. hitting more than one object in between hitting the "paddles"), an indicator appears to show how many hits were made and how many points were scored in the process. The problem lies in where that indicator appears. Since it pops up right where the combo occured - which also happens to be right where the ball is - it's difficult to see exactly what's happening, where the ball is, and what direction it's moving in. The majority of times I've lost lives in this game, I lost them because I had a moment of indecision because I couldn't see just what the heck was going on. A setup outside the playing area might be better for a combo indicator; for instance, it could be placed right next to the scoreboard.
Still, I have to admit, this is a superb and stylish game. Find a way to deal with that issue, and I think you'll have a real winner here.
