One thing I've learned is that reviewers on Newgrounds take things far too seriously. Not everything is a political statement or an attack on something that you hold dear. Sometimes a cartoon is just a cartoon or a game just a game, as novel an idea as that is.
For the game, itself, I found a decent coffeebreak amusement. Something mindless and idiotic to pass the time until the boss arrives. All in all, it served its purpose uniquely well.
I did find some problems with collision detection and there seemed to be a slight delay with controls. It made it a little more challenging, but not necessarily in a good way.
I would suggest cleaning up parts of it and re-releasing it. It would be a lot more fun and a truly mindless way to spend time at work or between classes.
