Reviews for "Metal Wrath"

not bad

good little game there, i would like to see lives in the game, even though there's a shield it dosen't last long enuff cause ships fire laser, bullets would be easier to dogde, but good game either way

Confused

I gave this a five because its strengths are just as strong as its weaknesses. The graphics on the background and for the enemy weapons and rockets rock, but the actual characters are weak. Gameplay could be great (the boss battles are awesome) but there aren't enough kinds of enemies and you only get one main weapon. The sound effects are great, but the music is just plain irritating. It could have been much better.

mediocre

not that this was bad...but it does nothing
new to seperate itself from the rest in its
genre. it does satisfy the need to play a
simplistic, side scroller shooter; for a
quick, nostalgic fix. actually, if it werent
so slow paced, maybe more action and
enemies on screen, it wouldnt be such an
overkill on easy. were it lacks in substance,
it can make up in style, but there is hardly
any style here in concept or visuals; however,
the graphics did have have nice lighting to it.

Great game but..

it was waaaay too easy. you can just hold down shoot and everything dies practically without any effort. you can get hit many times only to press f and be at full again. the bosses are too predictable. The only boss with any randomness at all is the big ball and hes still predictable (only shoots from up to mid?). After beating it I thought maybe id try it without using any specials at all and it was still way too easy (took awhile to beat the bosses tho). That energy beam pwns the bosses so fast. Some suggestions even though you probably won't read this:
-make the gun overheat so you can't just spam shots, i never let go of A the whole game.
-make more shots on the screen so you have to dodge around a bit more
-make waves of enemies come together instead of taking turns
-make things aim at the ship instead of just shooting in the same place over and over
-people complain so much about the whole restarting when u die at a boss thing but the levels are too short imo...
-difficulty modes so all the noobs won't hate it when it's too hard
-bombs might be a nice touch, then you could have more trucks etc.
-just make it harder =p

I don't mean to be all negative. I was very impressed by many things. A lot of nice touches, like boss explosions hurting you, and the whole powerup your choice of special thing is cool too. Just the lack of challenge left me without any gratification. I suppose it was like an interactive movie for me.

It's okay

I had a few issues with this game. On the whole, it was fine, but it really bothers me that I have to play the whole game over again if I die at that big boss dude. My other issue, of course, is that the game locked up and allowed the big boss dude to set up. Really? I'm really gonna sit there and go, "Sure, go right ahead, ready your weapons systems. It's not like I have anything better to do, like, I don't know, BLOW YOU AWAY." If they are designed in such a way that it takes them an hour to get ready, that's the robot's problem, not mine, don't punish me for it. Anyway, that's pretty much the jist of it. Have fun with my review. I don't imagine I'll change anything.

Also: Gave a 5 for sound because I didn't listen to it, so I cannot pass judgement on it.
