Hmm...where, who, and when were they fighting?
cause if it was japanese soldiers fighting in northern china against the chinese (1939 it woulda been happening), there might of been snow. And this definitley wasnt americans, cause no americans committed ritual seppuku when "defeated". Admittiedly, the sniper's outfits resemble russian or german winter gear more than others, but the beginning says "CHINA". Nope, the closest US unit was in Burma, in Indonesia (kinda near Vietnam).
And to the last guy, there were tons of battles in which US regulars fought in the snow in Europe. Many Italian battles were fought in snow, and the most blatantly obvious winter battle in Europe would be the Battle of the Bulge in late December 1944, where the German Wehrmacht, spearheaded by the 12th SS panzer Lehr, used all its remaining strength to try and push through the weakly held Adennes forest (Held by elements of the 101st airborne: watch Band of Brothers) to get to Antwerp and cut the allies off. The attack ground to a stop when Gen. Patton gathered up units of the 3rd Army and went to the relief of the paratroops. The most famous line of this battle was when the US commander of Bastogne (anyone know his name?) responded to a german surrender request with one word: "NUTS!"
