Reviews for "A Theft of Funny (TTA)"

Wow, that felt like a real Tiny Toons episode!

While I haven't seen more than about five episodes of Tiny Toons - and even then that was about twelve or thirteen years ago - this seems exactly like something Warner Bros. would do. The animation actually looked more or less like the actual show, which is VERY impressive. The voices were about as close to Mel Blanc's as one could get, and the sound effects seemed like they were taken directly from the show. Like the guy before me said, I think you could apply that high level of skill to something a little bit... "cooler", but hey, whatever floats yer boat. I'm overall pretty impressed with this! Good work!

I just felt I had to do this, I dunno :P Oh and it wasnt Mel Blanc who did the voices in the original Tiny Toons, it was a bunch of other great voice actors like Charlie Adler, Joe alaskey, Don Messic and a great deal of others. Thanks for the comment.

Wow!

Incredibly impressive! This definitely deserves front page. I love how you did the characters. They look exactly like the real ones. Very, very good job!

Thanks dude! :)

Completely didnt like it

I really appreciate all the effort that went into this. But i complete miss to see the purpose of this flash. Its a blatant copy of the famous Warner Brothers animations.

I know this was your intention but to me that doesnt justify this conceptless work at all. Animating/art is about exploiting your creativity. Finding ways to express yourself. How simple is it to completely copy someone else's visual style, characters, theming, pace, etc. Heck, even the sound effects and voice acting pretended to be the same.

So what exactley did you as the animator had to do in this case? Nothing but brainless drawing. Like a machine of which all the parameters are set that only has to process it into the predetermined result. The only thing this flash proves is that you can draw almost as good as the Warner Brothers animators. It might get some oohh's from the younger audience, but if your willing to take yourself seriously as an animator you better learn to figure out the other aspects of creating/telling a good story too.

AITD

Well I know as an idividual animator you are supposed to be distinct and bring your own style to the table but I just really wanted to do this.

little childish...

there where some small funny parts but I think the tiny toons is a little bit childish for someone who is 20 years old.

I think you have amazing animation abilities, but you can make a better flash than this.

keep up the good work.

buster126 responds:

Hey your never too old to watch cartoons! :)

It was wonderful!

Deserves front page, definately. I love the animation, how long did you take on this? it seems like it was a hell of a lot of work. I am completely astonished. cant wait to see the next part. ^_^

buster126 responds:

Thanks =) I have been working off and on on this for about a year... yea it should not have taken me sooo long but meh.
