Reviews for "March of the damned"

Ideal for battle march flash

This track is very atmospheric and epic sounding. Nice quality sounds and dynamics to the track that add to the tension. Ideal for someone who is creating a Flash with armies marching to war in. You could maybe add some octave higher strings later on in the track to complement the main string melody.
This track definately paints a picture in my mind.

XGM-Zeth responds:

Thank you, About the strings, My samples wouldnt go that high or they would sound pretty bad. And Im impressed that you actually bothered to review my work :)

I will as always thank you for reviewing, supporting me by giving me suggestions and cristism.

Good luck further on :)

Congratulations!

You got in A-bot's top 5!

This is a very good track - It conjures some pretty strong imagery - Most of the instruments were great but there was something synthetic about some of it - Some of the instruments sounded a little , well, generated... That is - they didn't sound like real instruments - maybe it was the timpanis ? - overall this is a well composed track! I would only suggest adding a little more variety with the instruments - I could hear mostly what sounded like strings and ...ummm... french horns maybe? - muted brass basically - If you added a few more supporting melodies - woodwinds and such - and divided the strings up a little more - lower notes to bigger strings - higher notes up on smaller ones - that sorta thing it might have a 'bigger' sound to it.

Oh hell - don't mind me - I'm just rambling on and on now...

It was VERY good!

XGM-Zeth responds:

Woah, I didnt even know i did.

Well, I do agree that some of the instruments kinda sound generated, But it's all i got though, and the timpani's actually got kinda good feedback from some other guys.

And indeed, it was french horns.
Well, I must thank you for supporting me in the ways of review. Critism is always welcome as long as its constructive.

Thank you for reviewing, and for giving suggestions.
Good luck further on :)

:o

It sounds very hans-zimmerish, much like the Crimson tide theme, it has the same basic rhythm as it. Nice use of structure, it wasnt the slightest bit repeteitive. Those french horns were a little overpowering in the middle, and try to put another note on the timpani in the later section, instead having it just beating like the snare drum the whole time, most timpanis have at least 2 drums at different pitches, like at the start. Very good an orchesteral thoughk well written.

XGM-Zeth responds:

Good, Because hans zimmer is the one person i admire the most with it, and i know the crimson tide, as it was the first song i heard for him.

I'll admit that i like this one a bit, but its kinda equal with my newest (Promise is given)

I'm not so much of a technichian though, i just make what i think sound cool :)
Which happen to be orchestral.

Very Fitting Title.

Zeth! Man, I think the piece is very fitting to the title. Its got this massive epic'ness and the horns go together very well with the militaryistic drive. If suppose if I had to comment is that its a little repetitive, but then again, after finishing the song I found myself humming the tune. keep up the fantastic work! /justin

Liked it.

I really liked it, it really does sound like march music. I wish I could give a more helpful reveiw, but this is all I got.

XGM-Zeth responds:
