Reviews for "Pokemon Lavender Town [REMIX]"

Like the Original, but so much better...

Contrary to other reviews, I liked the fact that you stayed with the original tempo. If it was faster, it wouldn't be lavender town. The very mellow synth pads (I believe that's the instruments) gave it a slowly beautiful and creepy sound. I don't think the drum placement was off at all. You kept the original creepiness and solemness of the old song, but just made it more modern, and in my opinion, MUCH BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. I play this on my headphones now when I go to Lavender town. <3 10/10 5/5. Please make more pokemon remixes, you're good.

SonicJ responds:

Thanks for your review, honestly. Too bad I read this a month late, but late is better than never! So yeah, thanks for agreeing with the tempo. This is using the orignial tempo of the song, and I preferred to keep it that way and not modify the tempo, as the original fit the song perfectly. Now, if I were doing a different genre of music, say drum and bass or techno, I can see how a BPM change would be justified, but not for a hip hop song. As far as the drums, being the creator or this remix, I simply don't hear what people were telling me about placement. I tried to translate the bit noises of the game boy color into the synths, so I'm glad you captured that. Thanks for this awesome review.

As far as other Pokemon songs, I'll have to think about it.

good song

but the ghost was a Marowak.

SonicJ responds:

Thanks for the score, however my all time favorite pokemon is Haunter. I guess Marowak would have been a more appropriate fite however.

Short and sweet, perfect loop. This makes me want to fire up my old Gameboy Color and play Pokemon Blue again. Thanks for the free nostalgia trip!
