No, seriously, I find it IRONIC that I saw this for the first time after watching Foamy's rant about respect for the dead. If JIM died, Foamy probably wouldn't even show up at the funeral! He would probably be too busy looking for a new job because bagels with cream cheese and coffee don't pay for themselves you know! Moreover a sappy eulogy from Germaine would just piss him off anyway...
But really, it's bad juju to joke like that, man. What if something really did happen to the guy right after you finished the cartoon... Wouldn't you feel like a complete ass? Death is not a joke dude! Hey, how would you like someone to joke and write about someone close to you dying? I'm sure you'd be more than a little PO'ed! Personally, if he was my brother/son/boyfriend/whatever, I'd probably want to hunt you down with a baseball bat, and write my own flash about your tragic collision! Just don't go there, pal. Keep yourself from pissing off powerful people...
The only thing that saves this is that the (brief) animation itself for art's sake was pretty close to top notch! I'd almost put you a notch above Mr. Matthers himself! Don't get too cocky though, he (admittedly) doesn't go to the painstaking level you obviously did because he tries to (on his own) crank out a new toon every two weeks!
Good luck! Just avoid such morbidity towards real people in the future! Hell, if the dead one was foamy, and it was Germaine at the tombstone, I probably would've rated it higher!
