I loved this... The music was perfect, the text/graphics were awesome... I'm going to go read that book... thanks for making some good quality stuff.

When I first read the title on the top 5 list, I thought that either the person didn't like the book and did something half-assed to make that point, or it would be a piece that would be an attempt to give a visual representation of the book. I am very glad it was the latter.
I really like the idea of a book preview concept. It's hard to susessfully translate a book into a visual image, but you have done a very nice job of selecting the parts to protray and created a nice flow. Some random points:
* GOOD work with text! You were able to make text become an image and not just a seperate enity. EVERYTHING on the stage accounts to the movie.
* I'm at a miss with the shaskta into upsidedown cross. Elie is jewish and not cathloic (or offically reconizes Jesus). Unless you wanted to open the can of worms of the whole Catholic church-hologost theory... It doesn't quite work in a narrative point of view.
* I have to say it becuase I'm picky: The hanging scene would be better if the images were cleaner. Again, I'm being very picky.
In all, VERY good job! 5 all the way. I hope that you will learn from this and other reviews and be able to create even more stunning pieces of work.

A lot of people probably wonder why the swastika became a cross in this film. Truth is, Hitler lauded fundamentalist Christianty quite a bit (go to 'Hitler' at about.com if you don't believe me), just as he also made innumerable comparisons between Nazism and Jesus's act of throwing the so-called "Christ killers" (Jews) out of the temple. Thing is, it doesn't take any spiritual conviction to call a bunch of people 'infidels' based on Biblical reference, and once you start calling them infidels, it's all too easy to start beliving they are 'less than human.'
