a few things
first off all, his mom looked like a dude.
second of all, this was maybe a 13 year old kid in that film. his dad was abusing him, it was self defense and in trial he could have said he did it because of the abuse. whatever, he probably wouldnt be in prison his whole life.
this is your first flash, so here's some advice.
firstly, be sure to delete extra lines that don't form part of the shape, so it doesn't look sketchy. Also, be sure to use groups if you want to place a simple drawing behind another one and not have them mix and mess up each other. I'd also reccomend keeping the fill tool to not fill gaps, so you'll be encouraged to make the lines connect. In terms of rain, have the drops be straight lines going in one direction. Also, in terms of mouth movement, it's best if you do it frame-by-frame.
radiohead rox
if you're a real radiohead fan (as every god loving, god fearing and god hating man should be) then check out their artwork and try working in that style (particularly Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief). This will allow you to get away with sketchy drawings. I enjoyed it, but mostly because of radiohead...
man to bad
it is really fucked up that the graphics are not that good. because the story, the music etc are really well put together. 7/10 just becoz of the graphics man. next time work on that, and you will be on front page
I just couldn't do it...
Your animation was extremely raw and were it not for your background song being one of my favorites I might have even blammed that but the song was good and fit well with your story. I didn't feel that the story was completely cohesive and the scenes were way too raw. You could touch those up to make them look a little more polished. This will make your audience feel like they are watching a finished piece of work that had a lot of thought and care put into it (although I realize even without this many do put much care into their work). I think you could do better, but I think it deserves to be on here...it's decent.
