Reviews for "Wing Commander"

'Wing Commander'...

As Obi-Wan said: 'Now there's a name I haven't in a long time.' My bro and I used to play the missions on "Wing Commander." He still has "Wing Commander: Privateer."

Good game...although, I don't know what to advise you on how to add sound.

VENGEANCE-GGG responds:

Yes, yes, but we've never played the original 'Wing Commander' games, nor did we expect anyone else would know they existed. We didn't take the name intentionally, because it was only after I did a Google search, a few months into production, that we even reliased the name had been used before.

Wow.

This is good. Can't wait for the finished product.

voted 5 and straight 10's but

you dont deserve it, as i (head_shot) said on sfdt.

VENGEANCE-GGG responds:

I never said it was finished. And we would've had powerups, but in a four-level campaign, there's no real way to make that work. And there was another boss on level 4, if you'd played a little longer. I've said the reasons for the lack of sound in other reviews.

Nice for a incomplete game

Pretty good. Your enemies were too strong though. After a few hits you die. If I knew anything about game making I would get this game from you guys. Good job and keep up the good work.

Badass game.

The only major flaw in this is that there is absolutly no sound in the game which really dissapointed me but i still had much fun on this, great job. =)

VENGEANCE-GGG responds:

I'm going to copy and paste this response as I work my way through all the 'no sound' reviews...

Well, most of the spacey sound loops in the audio portal are about 3 MB or more, and I'm just not patient enough to look through all of them to find a decent one. Plus, since we're trying to sell this, we don't want any music authors trying to claim some of the cash.

We didn't have bullet noises and all that, because there can be a lot of enemies onscreen at any given time - listening to that many sounds could get annoying, and it might overload the speakers (well, technically, that wouldn't happen, but there'd still be annoying sound FX all over the place).
